| Description | The Oakville Children's Choir is a choral ensemble established in September 1994 by Glenda Crawford. The choir is composed of more than 100 singers, ranging in age from 5 to 17 years. The Choir presents a number of concerts * performs at workshops * makes guest appearances at community functions * hosts a Christmas benefit concert * collaborates with other fine choirs in Ontario * offers a Little Notes, introductory preparatory music program ages 5-6 years * September to May * fun introduction to choral singing through songs, games and instruments * gains fundamental skills in music * self-discipline * performance skills * teamwork * creative expression * friendships * must audition. There are five ensembles: Cherub * Intermediate * Senior * Boy and Chamber * auditions required in Spring for upcoming. September-June year. | |||

| Meeting Details | Cherub: Children in grades 2, 3 and 4, weekly Mon, 45 minute rehearsal; Little Notes: Tue, 30 minutes Intermediate: Grades 4 and up, Tue, 75 minute rehearsal; Senior: Grade 5 and up, weekly Mon, 2.5 hour rehearsals; Chamber Choir: Mon, select group of enthusiastic and dedicated singers drawn from the Senior Choir (additional rehearsals required). Boy Choir Tue, 45 minute, has additional rehearsals. All rehearsals at St. Simon's Anglican Church. | |||
