| Description | Offers programs to people affected by mental illness and promotes mental health in the community * services include: * specialized services for individuals with both addiction and mental health concerns, including assessment, case management, justice services, and dual diagnosis and concurrent disorders services * anger management groups and yoga sessions for people living with mental health concerns COAST: * provides telephone support and mobile intervention to persons who are in crisis and have a mental health concern Safe beds: * a crisis bed facility for short term stay, goal oriented intervention * service is provided to persons 16 years of age and older who are experiencing a mental health issue and are in need of short term mental health crisis service * crisis bed facility is 10 beds in a home like setting with single rooms * can make a self referral by calling COAST Halton, 1-877-825-9011 Equilibrium: * a support group in Oakville for persons affected by bipolar disorder or depression, their family members, and members of the medical and nursing professions Public Education Services: * educational presentations and training on a variety of mental health topics, including Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), safeTALK, Living Life to the Full, and Mental Health First Aid workshops * displays to promote mental health at wellness fairs and other events * mental health information and referral to community services * visit the website or call for further details about programs and services | ||||||||
