Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Volunteers assist the hospital staff in providing quality care to patients and help financially by fundraising. 
Volunteers help in a variety of areas and roles including: 
* nursing units * in-hospital patient transport * dialysis * Emergency * Information Desk * Long-term care * library book cart * Out-patient Clinics * patient visitation * surgical day care * rehabilitation therapy * ConnectCARE * off site opportunities throughout the Halton community 
* gift shop, convenience store, fundraising activities 
* many other opportunities, including leadership opportunities with the volunteer association or volunteer department 
* open to students 14 years and over 
* volunteer positions exist throughout the week including days, evenings and weekends

Co-ed ages 14+, physically and mentally capable of performing tasks as required * two references are required, along with a baseline immunization record and tuberculosis testing
