| Description | Volunteer members work together to offer current educational materials to the public, promote awareness of lupus and raise funds for research. Gives support through: * telephone networking and counseling for new patients * holding support meetings for discussion, learning and sharing. Provides funding for: * lupus clinics in five rheumatic disease units * two fellowships which allow rheumatology students an extra year of study with lupus patients * as finances permit, research pilot programs and specialized equipment | ||||||||
