Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) The Department of National Defence has temporarily cancelled all in-person Cadet activities until further notice * Cadet training continues to be delivered online * Army Cadets continue to accept new registrations ------------------------------------------------- A military-based youth program * co-sponsored by the Halton Regional Police Service and the Oakville Historical Society * youth participants in the Army Cadets remain civilians throughout their involvement in the program and there is no obligation or expectation to join the military at any time Activities include: * Brass and Reed Band * overnight camping * marching * zip-lining * map/compass and GPS training * canoeing * marksmanship * weekend exercises * mountain biking * personal fitness * March Break, national, international trips * confidence-building activities * uniforms, day and overnight activities, band participation and summer camp free of charge |
