Description and Service Details
Description (Service) * provides the programs, coaching and resources that drive achievement in competitive swimming and help develop character that is the foundation of success in life 
* swimmers must be registered annually with Swimming/Natation Canada (SNC) through Swim Ontario in order to compete in meets and to be covered for insurance 
 
Programs 
OAK Lessons (Oct to May) 
* the first level of OAK 
* group practices once a week and will have the opportunity to compete in one HOBC (Hamilton, Oakville, Brantford, Cambridge) meet at the end of their swim season 
* Interclub fun meets used to assess for placement into the competitive stream of the Oakville Aquatic Club 
 
Olympic Prospects 
* introduction to the fundamentals of competitive swimming, aerobic fitness and competition skills 
* learn a sense of routine in competitive training and racing, a sense of sportsmanship, team spirit and a love of the sport 
* race in the HOBC (Hamilton, Oakville, Brantford, Cambridge) meet series 
 
Development 
* build on the fundamentals of competitive swimming learned in the Olympic Prospect Program 
* learning and maintaining skill development, mental awareness, building physical fitness and learning how to compete 
* race in competitions specific to ability 
 
Performance (season mid Sep-Jun) 
* encourages the individual to reach their potential and to strive towards excellence 
* focus is on building a training base and improving a skill set to develop the competitive strokes, distances and events 
* competitions based on time standards, ability and experience
