1) Family Doctor 
* if possible, always start with your Family Doctor/Nurse Practitioner  
* your Family Doctor/Nurse Practitioner should always be aware of everything going on with their patient, both physically and mentally 
* some work in Health Teams, which will sometimes include psychological support, for free under OHIP 
* for help finding a Family Doctor see: Doctors Accepting New Patients in Halton 
 
2) Child - School 
* both the Public and Catholic School Boards in Halton employ Social Workers and Guidance Counselors 
* if there's any concern about the wellbeing of a student, the student's teacher or principal should be informed 
* the principal will work with the student's teacher(s) and school board social workers to monitor, assist and refer the child if needed 
 
Adult - Employee Assistance Program 
* many employers offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 
* EAP usually covers many different supports, including 10-15 sessions of counselling, which can be done in person, on the phone, or through email 
* EAP usually covers spouse and dependents as well
