Description and Service Details
Description (Service) A subsidized monthly bus pass for low income students, adults and seniors, in Burlington, Milton, Oakville and Halton Hills. 
 
* the SPLIT pass program offers eligible low income Halton residents a subsidy for a portion of their local travel expenses 
* cost varies depending on whether you are a student, adult or senior and in which municipality you live  
 
* the program also offers subsidies for ActiVan registered users and Youth Taxi Scrip Program registered users in Halton Hills

Eligibility Eligibility for Burlington, Milton and Oakville residents: 
* students, adults or seniors living with a low income may qualify  
* individuals receiving assistance from the Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program, government and privately sponsored refugees may also be eligible 
 
Eligibility for Halton Hills residents: 
* students, adults or seniors living with a low income may qualify  
* registered ActiVan or Youth Taxi Scrip Program users 
* individuals receiving assistance from the Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program, government and privately sponsored refugees may also be eligible

Documents required for application for Burlington, Milton and Oakville residents: 
* most recent Notice of Assessment from tax return for all family members over the age of 18 
* government photo identification 
* students must have a valid student identity card from the high school they attend 
* seniors must prove eligibility for the senior fare 
* proof of address in Halton Region 
* sponsored refugees must provide immigration papers 
 
Documents required for application for Halton Hills residents: 
* a registration card for the ActiVan or Taxi Scrip Program from the Town of Halton Hills 
* most recent Notice of Assessment from your tax return for all family members over the age of 18 
* government photo identification 
* proof of address in Halton Region 
* sponsored refugees must provide immigration papers
