| Description | Community Living Oakville is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to individuals with a developmental disability so that they may live in a state of dignity and participate in all elements of community living to their fullest potential. Major Services: Adult day programs: * Pre-vocational * Alternatives * Life Skills Speers Place Industries: assists those 21 years or older with a developmental disability to develop work skills that may lead to competitive employment * work experience gained both in sheltered environment and selected community locations * may include a variety of light industrial jobs * contract work done on a regular basis for companies such as Duracell, Rubbermaid and Dow Brands. Adult and Adolescent Residential Services Supported Employment: helps individuals to find/maintain employment in the community * job coaches work with the client and employer to achieve successful employment in the Oakville area * job coaches also provide support for a volunteer/work experience, work training and/or situational assessment. Transition Planner - Passages: support to individuals with an intellectual disability who are still in school * provides more options for future planning through a closer liaison with the school boards in the Halton region. After school Program: program for students 5 - 21 years who have Autism or PDD * a safe secure environment * Monday - Friday 3pm - 8 pm. | ||
