Individuals with symptoms associated with COVID-19 are asked to self-isolate
If you think you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has symptoms associated with COVID-19, you can be assessed by a health care provider by:
* contacting your primary care provider
* visiting an assessment centre (appointment required)
* residents of Oakville, Milton or Halton Hills, see Halton Healthcare COVID-19 Assessment Centre
* residents of Burlington, see Joseph Brant Hospital COVID-19 Assessment Centre

|Description (Service)||As of May 27, 8:40 am, the total number of confirmed positive and probable cases in Halton Region is 698.
People of all ages can be infected with COVID-19. Most people with mild symptoms will recover on their own at home. Older adults seem to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus as do people with weakened immune systems and those with pre-existing medical conditions (diabetes, heart and lung disease).
Everyone is encouraged to take physical distancing seriously to protect themselves and others, including the most vulnerable and healthcare workers.
