Description (Agency) Heritage Services preserves the material and cultural heritage of Halton Region, and acquires and shares knowledge of the region's historical and natural world. Heritage Services foster discovery, appreciation and understanding of the region's heritage. 
 
The Halton County Museum was founded in 1961. In 2014, Regional Council adopted a new Master Plan for the Museum under which it was transformed into Heritage Services, which supports regional heritage organizations and institutions, and cares for Regionally-owned heritage assets. the Halton Region Museum site in the Kelso Conservation Area is closed and is no longer open to the public.

Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Based at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton, Ontario, Heritage Services creates travelling exhibits and public programming. Also supports the preservation and appreciation of the heritage of Halton region through partnerships with museums, archives, historical societies, cultural organizations and attractions. 
* Research services are available by appointment  
* Heritage Services coordinates Doors Open Halton (last weekend in September), professional development workshops (spring), April - annual symposium/conference
Hours Heritage Services office hours: 
Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm  
 
Not open to the public. Research services by appointment only or enquire via web site.
Dates Closed statutory holidays, closed week between Christmas & New Year. Reopens January 2, 2019
