Education, support and resource information about Alzheimer's disease and related dementia to clients, families, and professionals * a resource library is available for loan of a wide variety of education materials

Free, eight week dementia information series
  • offered twice yearly for caregivers
  • topics include introduction to dementia and Alzheimer disease * understanding changes in behavior * communicating with persons with dementia * community support services * safety in the home and community * planning for the future: long term care homes * care for the caregiver: coping strategies * information on tax programs

Mid to late stage of dementia discussion series * free, five weeks discussion series
  • focuses on issues related to the middle to late stages of dementia
  • topics include managing the changes * safety in the home and continence information * when to apply for long term care * decisions for end of life care
