Description (Service) Services include:

Restoring Family Links (RFL) Program
  • attempts to reunite family members who have lost contact through conflict or natural disasters

  • volunteer opportunities available * call the branch for details

Emergency and Disaster Services - Provide emergency relief at the time of a disaster, through the provision of food, clothing, emergency shelter, personal services and family reunification (Restoring Family Links Program - RFL), first aid, temporary care for unattended children and dependent elderly * in partnership with first responders, public officials, and in collaboration with with other voluntary sector organizations * available to provide free emergency personal preparedness workshops * those affected by a personal disaster, such as a house fire, call 416-209-0432

First Aid and CPR - First Aid & Safety Services training for community and workplace:  all levels of first aid and CPR training * babysitting and injury prevention workshops * Leadership and Advanced First Aid courses * first aid courses are Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) approved * private customized courses for organized groups and workplace groups

Respect Education Courses - Violence, Bullying and Abuse Prevention - Promote safe and supportive relationships and healthy communities through educational programs and partnerships * service assists parents, teachers and youth and adults in the understanding of abuse, harassment and interpersonal violence issues * helps create a safer world for everyone

Swimming and Water Safety - Provides comprehensive learn-to-swim programs for all ages and a national lifeguard training program to certify professional lifeguards
