Information about Sponsoring Refugees 
1. Sponsorship Agreement Holders (SAH) 
The Government of Canada encourages 'Groups of Five' (G5) and Community Sponsors (CS) wishing to sponsor refugees to connect with an established SAH. In Hamilton/Halton these are the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton 905-528-7988, Anglican Diocese of Niagara 905-527-1316 and World Renew (Christian Reformed World Relief Committee), 905-336-2920. 3. Lifeline Syria helps recruit, train, and match private refugee sponsors in Ontario with Syrian refugees approved for resettlement by the federal government, 647-943-6300 or email info@lifelinesyria.ca, for website see here 
4. Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (see here) supports Canadian Sponsorship Agreement Holders (SAHs), their Constituent Groups, Groups of Five and Community Sponsors on a national level (excl. Quebec).
