DescriptionThe Old Age Security (OAS) Identification Card is not an official document, but is a free wallet card that can be requested by recipients of Old Age Security benefits to use as proof of being age 65 or older, to receive senior discounts from stores, restaurants or other services, without needing to produce official documentation such as a driver's licence or other identification * the card itself does not provide any discounts or benefits, but is strictly proof of age. 
 
The card is no longer automatically sent to seniors with their first Old Age Security payment, but may be requested by calling the toll-free number above and providing Social Insurance Number * card will be mailed to applicant after a few weeks 
 
Card includes the recipient's name on the front, with the back containing a place for the senior's signature and the name of an emergency contact.
