Description (Service) | An alternative education facility providing specialized programming for children, preschool-gr 8, with Autism and exceptionalities * teaching strategies are individualized for students needs, and target all areas of deficit, with specialized programming offered for academics, behaviour management, life skills management and social skills Missing Links Academy: (Gr 1-8) Offers small classroom size, supported learning, parental involvement, and specialization in autism * hybrid, remote learning, and online access program choices Early Learner Program: Early Learners experience opportunities to develop their identity with a group setting * program delivers curriculum that includes social goals as well as a holistic program directly related to the learning objectives set out by the Ministry of Education in Ontario Intense Behaviour Intervention Program: Uses a multi-disciplinary approach for developmental acquisition encompassing IBI/ABA principles, social skills, cognitive therapy and behaviour management Camp Programs: Designed to foster spontaneous, mutually-enjoyed social interaction with peers, to expand and broaden the students social, symbolic and cooperative repertoire, and to enhance their enjoyment of social activities with minimal adult supervision * provide a safe space for children with a variety of learning needs to create and engage in social opportunities together, with the goal of enabling them to reach their social and co-operative potential in an encouraging, facilitated environment |
