The City of Burlington has suspended all City-run spring programs and extended the closure of some recreation facilities, parks, playgrounds, sports fields and City administration facilities to the end of June 
* all bookings will be cancelled, and credits will be placed on accounts (refunds will be issued based on requests) 
* essential services and those services that provide direct support to keep residents and staff safe will be maintained (these include areas such as Burlington Fire, Burlington Transit including Handi-Van, Traffic Services, ByLaw Enforcement, Roads, Parks and Forestry Operations, Building Inspections and ServiceBurlington) 
* staff continue to work from home to maintain City services such as Community Planning, City Capital Works and various Corporate Services

Provides windrow (snow plowed across driveways) clearance from mid-November to late March, for people with disabilities living at eligible properties (for details see "Eligibility" below) 
 
Windrow clearing contractors are dispatched after the completion of all roadway plowing * residents can expect windrows to be cleared within 40 hours after the snow stops and within 16 hours of the completion of all roadway plowing * snow will be plowed to the side of the driveway * does not clear windrows left by sidewalk plows  
 
Program limited to first 150 registrants * non-refundable fee for the full season for each driveway entrance

Eligibility People with disabilities living at a property fronting onto municipal road in areas south of Dundas St or in Alton community
Application Annual application required * see website for dates, fees and location 
 
* fee must be paid by cash, cheque, debit card, Visa, Master Card or American Express at time of registration 
* proof of disability must be shown (such as taxable benefit slip, accessible parking permit, or doctor's note declaring the registrant unfit for windrow shoveling) at time of registration  
* medical documentation required every 3 years  
* affidavit must be signed declaring that there are no able-bodied persons living at the same address
