Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Provides windrow (snow plowed across driveways) clearance from November 15 to March 31, for people with disabilities living at eligible properties (for details see "Eligibility" below) 
 
Within 16 hours of the road being plowed, a contractor working on behalf of the City will plow the windrow at the bottom of the driveway * snow will be plowed to the side of the driveway * does not clear windrows left by sidewalk plows  
 
Program limited to first 150 registrants * $52.50 non-refundable fee for the full season for each driveway entrance

Areas Served Burlington ; areas south of Dundas St; Alton community
Eligibility People with disabilities living at a property fronting onto municipal road in areas south of Dundas St or in Alton community
Application Registration for 2016-2017 season: Oct 1-Nov 13 at Burlington Seniors Centre, 2285 New St 
* fee must be paid by cash, cheque, debit card, Visa, Master Card or American Express at time of registration 
* proof of disability must be shown (such as taxable benefit slip, accessible parking permit, or doctor's note declaring the registrant unfit for windrow shoveling) at time of registration  
* medical documentation required every 3 years  
* affidavit must be signed declaring that there are no able-bodied persons living at the same address
