Description (Service) Allows residents to stop receiving unaddressed advertising 
* place a note in or on your mailbox, or on the inside lip of your community mailbox, group mailbox or postal box stating that you do not wish to receive Canada Post Neighbourhood Mail 
At your request Canada Post can stop delivering most unaddressed advertising material such as: 
* retail flyers and restaurant menus 
* free samples and coupons 
* unaddressed magazines and store catalogues 
* notices from non-profit organizations 
* offers from banking institutions and telecommunications services 
* notices of special events in your community 
Canada Post cannot stop delivering: 
* community newspapers 
* mailings from government departments/agencies at federal, provincial, territorial and municipal levels and Indigenous peoples and their elected representatives 
* materials from Elections Canada, provincial/territorial electoral officers and municipal election officials (or the deputy returning officer), including material from political parties and electoral candidates during an election 
* any addressed mail, including addressed advertising materials 
** you may continue to receive unaddressed advertising material from distributors other than Canada Post** 
* to reduce addressed mailings, see website for Canada Post's epost service or the Canadian Marketing Association's Do Not Mail Service
