Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) City staff continue to work remotely and are ready to assist the community in the delivery of as many services as possible * for information and updates on City services, including what’s open and closed visit burlington.ca/coronavirus -------------------- Downtown waterfront incorporating parks, beaches, and other features Brant Street Pier: 137 metre long open concrete pedestrian pier with lighted beacon Spencer Smith Park, 1400 Lakeshore Rd: Features include a wide promenade, Dofasco Waterjet Park and playground * Rotary Centennial Pond offers free skating in the winter (ice conditions hotline 905-335-7600 ext 8587) and model boat sailing in the spring, summer and fall Discovery Landing: Enclosed building offers storm and weather-watching views * home to Spencer's on the Waterfront, The Bite Cafe and the Observatory * rental available for meetings and social functions The Beachway, 1100 Lakeshore Rd Sand beach with washrooms, community changeroom, outdoor showers, bike racks, playground and concession stand Beach Water Quality Conditions Halton Region shows beach water quality conditions for Beachway Park and Brant St Beach online and can answer inquiries by phone at 905-825-6000 Parking: Limited metered parking at waterfront lots east and west of Discovery Landing: Mon-Sun 9 am-6 pm * additional hourly and all day paid parking available across Lakeshore Road at Brock Street and the Art Gallery of Burlington lots, and at The Waterfront parking garage, 414 Locust St Waterfront Trail: Burlington's 23km trail is part of the Ontario Waterfront Trail and Greenway, for more information see separate listing here |
