Description (Service) This topic record provides an overview of infant seat and booster seat laws, and car seat clinics 
 
By law, all drivers are responsible for ensuring passengers under 16 years of age are secured properly  
* it is mandatory for anyone transporting children to make sure they are properly secured in a child car seat, booster seat or seat belt

* those who cannot afford a car seat should contact Halton Region (see separate record here) for assistance 
* used car seats are not accepted at local thrift stores
