|Description||The Senior Driver Renewal Program requires drivers aged 80 years and over to renew their licence every 2 years. |
Beginning April 21, 2014, the Senior Driver Renewal Program will be shorter and simpler.
Once drivers reach 80 years of age they must:
* take a vision test
* undergo a driver record review
* attend a shorter group education session
* complete two, brief, non-computerized in-class screening exercises
* the full process will take approximately 90 minutes
If necessary the driver will be required to take a road test
You can download the in-class screening practice test (part of the education session) in one of 16 languages as well as English and French.
|Hours||Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5 pm|
|Eligibility||Ages: 80 year(s) and up|
|Application||When you receive your renewal notice, contact the MTO Regional Scheduling Office as soon as possible to schedule an appointment for your tests and group education session. You should not go to a driver exam centre or an MTO office to book an appointment. |
