If you receive services from CCAC, the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) pays for non-emergency ambulance for clients with no other way to access medical care 
If you receive disability benefits from ODSP the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) may pay for transportation to medical appointments  
 
TRANSPORTATION BY REGULAR VEHICLE 
1) Burlington Transit (regular bus service) 
 
2) Burlington Transit Handi-Van for people with disabilities who have been accepted as Handi-Van clients (must be unable to use regular transit system): door-to-door service, connects with neighbouring transportation systems for people with disabilities (DARTS in Hamilton and Care-A-Van in Oakville 
 
3) To cancer treatment only (free of charge) Canadian Cancer Society, Halton Unit volunteer drivers to cancer treatment centres in Hamilton, Burlington, Missisauga, Toronto * 3 business days notice required, except in emergency 
 
4) Canadian Red Cross, Burlington Branch (fee for use): local and out-of-town medical, dental and hospital appointments as well as adult day programs * up to 2 weeks notice required for out-of-town appointments * transportation provided in Red Cross vehicles, including wheelchair vans or volunteers' private vehicles * cannot take stretchers 
 
5) Home care agencies (fee for use) that will transport to medical appointments
