Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Oversees the administration and prosecution of provincial offences charges and the collection of fine payments for all provincial offences charges issued in Halton.  
 
Provincial Offences fines may be paid: 
* Online (by Visa or Mastercard) through paytickets.ca (24 hr service), to pay online see here 
* In person (by cash, cheque, debit, MasterCard or Visa) at one of the two Provincial Offences Courthouses in Halton: 2051 Plains Rd E, Burlington or 100 Nipissing Rd, Unit 2, Milton * both open Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm  
* By mail (by cheque, Visa or Mastercard) to address on the back of ticket * complete the payment slip and enclose with payment.  
 
Some Provincial Offences Act violations include local by-law, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act, Liquor Licence Act and Highway Traffic Act offences such as:  
* dog by-laws 
* speeding 
* driving without a seat belt 
* drinking under age 
* driving with no insurance, etc.  
 
Provincial offence charges may be laid by Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Revenue, Ministry of Transportation, GO Transit, Halton Region Police Service, Municipal By-law Enforcement Officers, etc.
