Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Food and clothing: Tue 3:30 pm-5:30 pm * drive-thru and curbside pick up of warm meals, produce bags, milk and eggs * free clothing store: emergency winter coats and boots only (email for other needs) Emergency food resources: call 905-637-2273 * working in partnership with the Burlington Food Bank Mental Health: no walk-in counselling until further notice * to speak with a Canadian Mental Health Association counsellor call 289-291-5396 (call will be returned within 24 hrs, Mon-Fri) Donations: Mon 10 am-3 pm * winter boots and coats * as of March 1 will accept children's spring and summer footwear Parish Centre is currently closed --------------------------------------- A group of 15 community-based volunteer driven programs to help people build relationships across the diversity of income, education, age, ability and health to enhance their capacity for meaningful lives Offers programs (all are drop-in unless otherwise mentioned) related to: Food * Community Dinner: Tue 6 pm * Food Bank: Tue 4 pm-6:30 pm, Thu 12:45 pm-2 pm, Sat 10 am-12 noon * Community Lunch: Thu 12 noon-1 pm (seniors-focused but open to everyone) * Community Kitchen: seasonally and program based, contact office for information * Farmers Market (Jun-Oct each year), contact office for dates * Community Garden (growing season) * Halton Fresh Food Box: third Tuesday of each month Children and Youth * Active Tots: Wed 10 am-11:30 am (fun activities, story time and healthy snack) * Kids' Club: Tue 4 pm-6 pm * Tween Club: Tue 4 pm-6 pm * Calling All Parents: Tue 7 pm-8:30 pm * Recess Respite: last Saturday night of each month, registration required (allows registered caregivers to drop off children with special needs and their siblings, who are provided one-on-one volunteer support, medical supervision and structured activity to allow caregivers an evening out) Resources * Free Clothing Store: Tue 4 pm-6 pm, Thu 12:45 pm-2 pm, Sat 10 am-12 noon * Christmas Families: registration required in November of each year * OESP (Ontario Electricity Support Program), by appointment only * Walk-in mental health counselling (partnership with CMHA): Tue 1 pm-7 pm, first come first served * Visiting services * Community Nurse (various programs) Volunteers always needed, contact Christina Mulder through church office 905-634-1809 |
