Has an all-electronic toll system
  • electronic sensors on each overhead tower log vehicle's 407 ETR entry and exit point by reading a transponder signal and/or taking an image of the vehicle licence plate
  • heavy vehicles with actual or Registered Gross Vehicle Weight (RGVW) of over 5,000 kilograms (five tonnes) require a heavy vehicle transponder
  • transponders can be ordered by the registered owner of the licence plate to be delivered by registered mail or picked up with identification at the Customer Service Centre
  • bills are issued monthly
