Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Offers literacy, numeracy and essential skills services to assist in transitioning to employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, post-secondary education or independence. 
* Academic Upgrading for college entry and employment readiness 
* Academic preparation for the skilled trades 
* Grade 12 equivalency (English and Math) for entrance to college, apprenticeship or employment 
* Deaf Empowerment Program 
* Free GED (General Education Development) prep
Hours * Main office (Room J016-Fennell Campus) Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm 
* Daytime classes Mon-Fri 9 am-2:30 pm 
* Evening classes Mon & Wed 6 pm-9 pm

Eligibility Ages: 19 year(s) and up 
Primarily serves adult learners wanting to improve their literacy and numeracy skills to achieve goals of further education and training, employment or increased independence  
* must have facility in English (and/or French for French programs) and literacy skills below Grade 12 of the Ontario curriculum 
* for students age 19+ (though some exceptions may apply)  
* open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Ontario  
* completion of Mohawk’s academic assessment, to determine a starting point for English and/or Math  
* minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of level 7 in all areas
