Public Comments Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) 
 
Multi-use sports fields are open for use by no more than 5 individuals (fenced/locked fields are not available for use) 
 
City parks are open for use, including basketball hoops, benches and picnic tables (these items are not being sanitized) 
* parking lots are open 
 
All City-owned leash-free dog areas are open 
 
Skate parks at Maple, Nelson and Norton parks, and the BMX cycle area at Nelson are open 
 
Tennis courts at Leighland Park, Optimist Park, Brant Hills Park, Millcroft Park and Palmer Park are open 
 
The City of Burlington has cancelled all City-run spring and summer programs (this includes activities such as summer camps, recreation programs, festivals and events, swimming and skating drop-ins that were originally offered in the Live & Play Guide) 
* programs will be refunded to the credit card used when possible (others will have a credit placed on their account * cheque refunds will be issued based on specific email requests) 
 
All facility rentals up to and including Sep 7, including arenas, pools, community centres, schools, sport fields and picnics are cancelled 
* rentals will be refunded to the credit card used when possible (others will have a credit placed on their account) 
 
Some recreation facilities, parks, playgrounds, sports fields and City administration facilities are closed to the end of June 
* essential services and those services that provide direct support to keep residents and staff safe will be maintained (these include areas such as Burlington Fire, Burlington Transit including Handi-Van, Traffic Services, ByLaw Enforcement, Roads, Parks and Forestry Operations, Building Inspections and ServiceBurlington) 
* staff continue to work from home to maintain City services such as Community Planning, City Capital Works and various Corporate Services
