DescriptionThe purpose of the organization is to promote acceptance and opportunities for all individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and to ensure that each individual with ASD is provided with the means to achieve quality of life as a respected member of society. 
 
Autism Ontario - Halton Objectives: 
* provide opportunities for parents and professionals to share information and educate each other through a variety of forums 
* advocate with parents on behalf of children with autism; lobby school boards for more effective programming/services for children with autism 
* monitor and respond to relevant government bills and legislation 
* improve the quality of life for people with autism and their families by offering leisure, recreational and social activities suited to their special needs 
 
Autism Ontario - Halton Programs and Services include: 
* Monthly parent support group (last Monday, Tuesday of every month) 
* Social Skills Groups 
* Reading Comprehension Groups 
* Asperger's Friends Network 
* Free bi-monthly Sunday Swims (Tansley Woods)  
* CAMP (Summer Camp) 
* Camp Wannago (March Break Camp) 
* Summer baseball & soccer programs 
* Hockey & skating 
* Children's Christmas party 
* Fall workshops 
* SIBSHOPS (Siblings Workshops)
