Description (Service) Activities include: 
 
Building projects 
Builds homes for low income families, primarily with volunteer labour and donated materials * homes are mortgaged by Habitat for Humanity Halton at no interest to low income families, who provide an investment of sweat equity in the form of 500 hours of labour 
 
ReStore: 
Sells affordable home products, and new and used building materials such as doors, windows, shelving, kitchen cabinets and hardware * funds raised support Habitat for Humanity programs * for more information see separate record here 
 
Volunteer opportunities: in fund development * benchmarking * social media * HomeWORKS facilitators * speakers bureau * Family Support Committee (information sessions and Family Support Team members) * volunteer recruitment, co-ordination and administrative support * build co-ordination * youth outreach * procurement * grant writing/research * reception * ReStore plumbers, electricians, cashiers, merchandizing/warehouse support, Salvage Team
