| Description | Community Settlement program provides services to enable newcomers to integrate into Canadian society through the delivery of orientation programs, language and skills training programs and programs to welcome newcomers to the community Referral to Community Services connects clients with specific settlement needs to services available in the community Interpretation/Translation assists newcomers who require extra assistance in communicating in one of the official languages in their day-to-day lives * Interpreters work with clients in a variety of situations, including assessments, consultations, intakes and meetings * provide numerous written translations, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, identification cards and other legal documents Solution-Focused Counselling provides short-term guidance and support to clients who encounter difficulties in adjusting to life in Canada and assists them in overcoming these challenges Employment Related Services prepares clients to seek employment actively by helping to obtain required education certification and/or trade documents that would facilitate job placement Job Search Workshops (JSW): offered at Oakville and Milton locations * Burlington Job Search Workshops offered at The Centre for Skills Development and Training Other Locations: Oakville: 1092 Speers Rd, Oakville, ON L6L 2X4 * 905-842-2486 North Oakville: D-11 380 Dundas St E, Oakville, ON L6H 6Z9 * 905-257-1555 Milton: Milton Community Resource Centre, 310 Main St E, Milton, ON L9T 0P4 * 905-864-6565 | ||||||||
