Public Comments Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) 
 
The City of Burlington has cancelled all City-run spring and summer programs (this includes activities such as summer camps, recreation programs, festivals and events, swimming and skating drop-ins that were originally offered in the Live & Play Guide) 
* programs will be refunded to the credit card used when possible (others will have a credit placed on their account * cheque refunds will be issued based on specific email requests) 
* as restrictions from the Province and Public Health are lifted, the City will implement a redesigned or modified program where possible 
 
All facility rentals up to and including Sep 7, including arenas, pools, community centres, schools, sport fields and picnics are cancelled 
* rentals will be refunded to the credit card used when possible (others will have a credit placed on their account) 
 
Some recreation facilities, parks, playgrounds, sports fields and City administration facilities are closed to the end of June 
* essential services and those services that provide direct support to keep residents and staff safe will be maintained (these include areas such as Burlington Fire, Burlington Transit including Handi-Van, Traffic Services, ByLaw Enforcement, Roads, Parks and Forestry Operations, Building Inspections and ServiceBurlington) 
* staff continue to work from home to maintain City services such as Community Planning, City Capital Works and various Corporate Services

Social and active senior's programs are also offered at recreation centers located throughout Burlington: 
* Seniors' Centre membership not required at those locations, but those with Seniors' Centre membership are entitled to reduced rates

A seniors' centre for those age 55 and older in a club-like atmosphere * membership required during fall, winter and spring 
 
Offers recreation programs including: 
* fitness, sports, and dance  
* arts, games, and continual learning  
* socials and day trips  
* TelePALS - phone-in discussion or listening programs 
 
Adult 19+ and 55+ programs are also offered in locations throughout the City including: Tansley Woods Community Centre, Brant Hills Community Centre, Haber Recreation Centre, Music Centre, Central Arena, Lowville, and Mountainside Recreation Centre
