Description and Service Details

Description (Service)

A volunteer citizens' advisory committee to Council, reporting through the Environment, Infrastructure and Community Services Committee

  • provides advice on identification, removal and prevention of barriers to people with disabilities in the municipality's by-laws and policies, programs and services
  • assists with preparation of the City's multi-year accessibility plan
  • regularly reviews site-plans submitted to the Department of City Building
  • promotes accessibility and disability awareness through public education
