DescriptionNonprofit historical society * affiliated member of the Ontario Historical Society  
 
Objectives: To bring together people interested in the history of Burlington and district, and stimulate public awareness in local heritage * discover, collect, classify and preserve materials which will establish and illustrate the history of the area * produce publications and other materials that describe aspects of local history * co-operate with local authorities and other organizations in ensuring the preservation of documents, relics, buildings, etc. of historical interest or value.  
 
Archives  
Burlington Historical Society collects and preserves paper records and images related to the people and places of Burlington, from about 1780 to the present time, including: photographs of historic buildings * other images * written records * maps * family histories and other publications * newspaper clipping files * many images from the archives may be viewed online
