| Description | This Driver Examination Centre: * Provides vision and written tests for all licence classes * Conducts road tests for A, B, C, D, E, F, G2, G, LM2, LM, M2, M and Z For drivers aged 80 and older: Senior renewals are no longer conducted in this office * contact 1-800-396-4233 to make appointment for vision, knowledge test and senior education seminar * for more information see record for Senior Driver Renewal Program, Burlington location. Driving tests: Appointments must be made well in advance * arrival must be 30 minutes before scheduled time * fee charged for all appointments not canceled with 48 hours notice or those arriving late for their scheduled appointment time Written tests: Require no appointment, first-come, first-served basis * arrival should give ample time for processing and testing prior to 5pm close For a beginner: Vision, written and driving test must be passed * must have a original identification proving name, date of birth and signature * photocopies not acceptable * health and SIN cards not acceptable pieces of identification Motorcycles: Minimum age to own/drive a motorcycle is 16 years of age * vision and written test must be passed before a beginner is granted an M1 licence * must apply at a Drive Test Centre Limited-speed motorcycles and mopeds: Testing and licences are now required * Class M licence required for mopeds * Class G licence is no longer sufficient * road test required for a moped or scooter * receive a restricted Class M licence with L Condition that allows them to drive those vehicles only Trail bikes: Minimum age to own a trail bike is 12 years old * no licence required * plates needed for off-road travel * contact the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Bureau. Licence renewals, change of address, name changes, application for lost licences, Disabled Person Parking Permits are all available only at the Driver and Vehicle Licence Issuing Office | ||
