Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Provides short-term residential, direct services for male individuals who are under the influence of, or in withdrawal from, alcohol and drugs, or in a crisis which has placed them at high risk of relapsing.  
 
* admissions are voluntary  
* individual counselling for assessment and referral 
* referrals made locally, regionally, provincially  
* direct hospital support provided for medical and psychiatric emergencies as the service is non-medical  
* safe supportive environment  
* information and education sessions related to addiction 
 
 
 
Program services include:  
 
* 24 hour/7 day a week crisis telephone support 
* residential withdrawal management 
* psycho-educational relapse prevention and recovery programming  
* treatment planning/next steps /referral,  
* day program for clients in transition 
* a community tobacco addiction program  
* access to psychiatric sessions and a primary care physician through a partnership with the Shelter Health Network 
* non-smoking service, nicotine replacement therapy provided
