Description and Service Details
Description (Service)	Financial assistance to veterans and their families * assistance is provided once in a twelve month period to resolve a specific problem when all other resources have been exhausted * funds may be granted to assist with the purchase of health-related items such as hearing aids, glasses, prescription drugs and dental needs * home-related items such as rent, repairs, moving costs, furniture, repair/replacement of roof and furnace * specialized equipment such as assistive devices, wheelchairs and prosthetics * personal items, such as clothing and specialized support services
Hours	Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm
Areas Served	Ontario
Eligibility	Veterans in need and their surviving dependants living in Ontario, who served in WWI, WWII or the Korean War, including the Merchant Navy in WWII * funds must be exhausted from all other support resources
