Service DescriptionLiteracy and Basic Skills Upgrading Read*Spell*Write Program (RSW): 
* one-on-one and small group tutoring 
* outreach programs for clients 
* volunteer recruitment and training 
* development of adult literacy resource materials 
* development of literacy projects depending on the availability of grants 
* advocacy for adult literacy, through memberships in provincial and literacy organizations 
Academic Upgrading Program (ACE) in partnership with Sheridan College  
Workplace Communications Program: 
* a 10 week program for individuals who need to improve their computer skills in order to improve employment and career training opportunities 
* adults over 18 years may be eligible based on free skills assessment and orientation  
* course covers an introduction to computers, computer terms and MS Office applications  
* students learn basic file management and are introduced to email and the internet  
* a registration fee includes the student handbook

Eligibilitycall for eligibility information 
Literacy and Basic Skills:  
Ontario residents 19 years and older whose literacy and basic skills are assessed as being less than end of Level 3 of the International Adult Literacy and Skills Survey (IALSS) or the Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework (OALCF), and who are proficient enough in speaking and listening to benefit fully from the language of LBS instruction (English or French).
